Copy Tabs lets you grab your open tabs as text in the format you need โ perfect for pasting into emails, notes, bug reports, or sharing with your team.
Open TabLoom with AltT or click the Tabloom icon in your toolbar.
You're on the Copy tab by default. All tabs are pre-selected โ uncheck any you don't need, or hit "Copy All" to grab everything at once.
Choose your format: plain URLs, Markdown links [Title](url), JSON array, or Title + URL pairs.
Click Copy Selected. The text is now on your clipboard โ paste it anywhere.
Pro tip: Use Markdown format when pasting into Notion, Obsidian, or any notes app โ it creates clickable links automatically.
Open Links is the reverse of Copy โ paste a list of URLs and open them all in one click. Great for morning routines or batch-opening a research set.
Open TabLoom and click the Open tab.
Paste your URLs into the text area. They can be on separate lines, or mixed into a paragraph โ Smart Paste finds the links automatically.
Choose Bulk (opens all at once) or Sequential (opens one every few seconds, to avoid tab overwhelm).
Click Open Links. Watch the progress bar as tabs load.
Pro tip: Save your daily-open URLs as a plain text file. Import it with Transfer, then open them in seconds every morning.
Transfer lets you move your tab sets between devices or back them up as files. No account or cloud needed โ it's just a file on your computer.
Export: Go to the Transfer tab, choose TXT, CSV or JSON, then click Export. A file downloads to your Downloads folder.
Import: Click Import or drag-and-drop your file onto the drop zone. TabLoom reads the URLs and loads them into the Open panel ready to open.
Between devices: Export on your laptop, send the file to yourself (email, USB, AirDrop), then Import on your desktop.
Team sharing: Export sessions as .tabloom files and send them to colleagues โ they import and restore your exact workspace in one click.
Sessions are named snapshots of your open tabs. Save them before closing Chrome, switch between projects instantly, and recover after a crash.
Press AltS to instantly save all your current tabs as a session. A confirmation badge appears โ no popup needed.
Or open TabLoom, go to the Sessions tab, click Save Current Tabs, and give it a name like "Morning workflow".
To restore: click the session in the list, then click Restore. Opens all tabs in a new window (or current window โ your choice).
You can rename, delete, or export sessions as .tabloom files at any time.
Crash recovery: If Chrome crashes unexpectedly, open TabLoom, then Sessions โ your last auto-saved session may be there. Restore it to get back to work.
Sleeping a tab freezes its process and frees the RAM it was using โ without losing the page. One click wakes it back exactly where it was.
Sleep specific tabs: Ctrl-click to select tabs in the strip, then press AltZ or use the Sleep panel in TabLoom.
Wake tabs: Click the sleeping page in Chrome or press AltW with the tab selected. The original page reloads instantly.
Auto-sleep: In the Sleep panel, set an idle timeout (e.g. 30 min). Any tab inactive longer than that gets slept automatically.
Protected tabs: Pinned tabs, your active tab, and any tab playing audio are never slept. Add domains to the whitelist to protect others permanently.
Optional shortcuts: Assign AltA at chrome://extensions/shortcuts to sleep all inactive tabs with one keypress.
Sessions are TabLoom's superpower. Name a snapshot of your current tabs, close the window, and bring everything back exactly as it was โ in one tap. Export as .tabloom files to share with teammates or move between machines.

I used to have 80+ tabs open at all times. TabLoom's sleep feature cut my Chrome RAM usage in half. The session save is now part of my daily workflow before I close my laptop.
As an academic, I'm always juggling papers across multiple projects. Being able to save a "Research sprint" session and restore it next week is a game-changer. Finally replaced three extensions with one.
The Markdown copy format is brilliant for dumping reference links into Notion. I use it every single day. Also love that there's no account โ I was tired of SaaS extensions wanting my email.
I share tab sets with my team via .tabloom export files. Everyone imports the same research context before sprint reviews. Tiny feature, huge productivity impact across our whole team.
My laptop has 8GB RAM and Chrome was eating all of it. Sleep tabs freed ~300MB instantly. I can now run Figma and Chrome at the same time without the fan going crazy. Genuinely useful.
I switch between 4โ5 clients daily. TabLoom sessions let me context-switch in seconds โ close one client's workspace, open another's. No more tab chaos. It's become as essential as VS Code for me.
TabLoom contains zero third-party libraries, zero analytics, and makes zero network requests. Your tab URLs, session names, and settings never leave your browser. Period.
Four shortcuts work the moment you install. Two more activate whenever you're ready.
Pops the panel open from any tab โ no toolbar click needed.
Saves every tab instantly. A badge confirms it โ no popup needed.
Ctrl-click tabs in the strip, then sleep just those to free their memory.

Developer & designer ยท Lahore, Pakistan ยท LinkedIn โ
I built TabLoom because I had the same problem every developer, researcher, and curious person has โ too many tabs and no clean way to manage them. Every extension I tried either wanted an account, phoned home with my data, or came loaded with features I'd never use. So I built the one I actually wanted.
TabLoom started as a weekend project and turned into something I use every single day. It's built with the belief that browser tools should be fast, private, and feel like part of the browser itself โ not a SaaS product trying to upsell you.
Software should give you control, not take it away. TabLoom will always be free, always be private, and always put the user โ not a business model โ first.
Everything you need to know before installing.
